Introducing Ghanem Hassan
Ghanem Hassan is a self‑taught contemporary artist based in Milan. Born in Lebanon in 1993, he grew up in an environment where resilience was not a choice but a condition of life. Although academically trained in finance and holding two master’s degrees, he ultimately followed a deeper calling—leaving behind stability to rebuild himself creatively in a new country.

His artistic journey began as a private refuge and evolved into a powerful medium of storytelling. Each work reflects lived experiences of displacement, identity, emotional struggle, hope, and transformation. Deeply introspective yet universally resonant, his paintings invite viewers to confront vulnerability, memory, and the quiet strength required to begin again.
Hassan’s visual language is defined by expressive textures, layered tones, and symbolic materials. Gold leaf, diamond powder, and emerald fragments appear throughout his work as metaphors for dreams that survived instability—interrupted, fragile, yet enduring. His 2025 exhibition What the Silence Carried, featuring paintings embedded with diamonds and emeralds, marked a significant evolution in his material experimentation and positioned his practice within the realm of luxury contemporary art.
In 2026, he presented his 9th solo exhibition, Beyond the Departure, at the European Parliament in Brussels, a milestone for Lebanese contemporary art on the international stage. His work has been exhibited in Milan, New York, London, Hong Kong, Brianza, and Athens, and is featured on Art Bridger, a Hong Kong–based platform connecting global collectors with emerging contemporary artists.
Through his work, Hassan does not aim to provide answers but to open dialogue. Each canvas is an emotional narrative—an invitation to pause, reflect, and recognize fragments of one’s own story within the silence, the texture, and the light.
